Surgicorps International is a volunteer organization dedicated to providing reconstructive surgery for children in less developed countries.

Established in 1994, Surgicorps has traveled to countries like Peru, Kenya, Brazil, Nigeria, Paraguay, Tanzania, Mali, and the Philippines.

Based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, teams of medical and non-medical volunteers travel to developing nations to provide surgical and medical services to people who may never have the opportunity to be treated otherwise.

Marie from Brazil, couldn't speak clearly or smile properly. She had little reason to, since the surgery to repair her lip would cost more than her family could ever afford.

Surgicorps provided this service for a smile.
